X Factor the week of the hair

Last weekend Danni skipped her asymmetrical dress look that she’s been so on the money with, for a Ralph and Russo design (again) and a Donna Karen dress on Sunday. And although I loved the burgundy colour of the Donna Karen dress on her, I didn’t like the dress shape much itself and thought the floral and leopard print on Saturday to be a bit too Wag-esque for Dannii (although she sported a killer boday in it). However, her hair is another story.

How many ways can Dannii Minogue wear her bob? It’s amazing how her hairdresser can find so much to do with so little hair, but he certainly does a wonderful job which has made a full two page spread in the Daily Mail alone. What started off as an asymmetric fringed bob has been converted week on week into some fabulous creations (apart from the crimped style one week and the mullet style on Week 2).

On Saturday 21 November, Cheryl Cole wore a pink Giles Deacon dress and on Sunday 22 November she wore another pink (and body con style) by Jean Pierre Braganza, both British designers. Cheryl’s stylist must be determined to make her look as uncomfortable as possible in those tiny body con dresses which showed off the tiniest frame that is her body.

Cheryl Cole’s hair has also hit the headlines last week with complaints regarding the L’Oreal “Because we’re worth it” ad where thirteen people complained to the advertising standards authority claiming that the ad was misleading (as Cheryl is wearing hair extensions in the ad). The complaints were rejected by the authority as L’Oreal had spelled this out in the small print in the ads.

And speaking of the ultimate in hair dos, we’ll no longer be seeing the John and Edward quiff of a Saturday night as Jedward were finally voted off X Factor on 22 November.

Poor Stacey is put in a ball gown one week and a short sexy number the next. I really don’t know what the X Factor stylist is up to. Although she totally transformed Rachel before she was voted off, it was confusing seeing her as Rihanna one week and as a Sugarbabe the next.

Not to forget about the other contestants, here’s a rundown of their outfits.

    Hi.

Thanks for your help on the Olly shirt the other week. I need your help once again! Do you have a link to where I could buy Lloyd’s t-shirt from the show above. It’s from Untold but I’m having no joy finding it.

    Thanks very very much!

    Charlie

Just spotted on shopping the trend that Cheryls earrings from week 7 (dangly cube earrings) were designed by Lucy Hutchings and are for sale from Start London from January 2010. I love her style so I thought I’d share it with you!
