It was refreshing to see someone in separates (aka a skirt and top as opposed to a dress) win at The Irish Derby last weekend– a far cry from the ‘same same’ ladies who travel the ‘lovely ladies’ circuit in the hope of winning.

Aspiring fashion designers will once again battle it out as the third annual Irish Fashion Innovation Awards take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Galway city on Thursday, 5th April.

Irish design talent came to the fore recently when promising young designer Heidi Higgins won the title of ‘Best Dressed Lady’ at the Punchestown Festival wearing one of her own creations.
