The Autumn/Winter 2010 season kicked off in New York last week with a strong minimal, practical and wearable theme.

Keeping warm this weather isn’t easy, so when I saw Lily Allen in another duffle coat, it made me think back to my wrapped-up uni days wearing this very same style. Lily’s coat sets itself apart in a shocking pink colour.

Looks like I’ll have to clear the coat stand to make room for a bevy of new coats this season. If there’s one good thing about autumn edging its way back into our lives, it’s the accompanying wardrobe we’ve simply got to have to go along with it.
