The Irish summer has finally arrived and its time to add a splash of colour to your beauty routine. Summer’s palette is clean and fresh with a dewy finish.
Late night? No problem. Awaken tired skin with Clarins Energize Cleansing Gel from their latest skin-boosting range. Work a small lather on your face and rinse with cold water in the morning to revive skin and to remove make-up at night.
Next step is to protect and moisturise with Neutrogena’s Multi Defence SPF15 moisturiser. It fights off all the elements while remaining light and non-greasy. The pump is most hygienic and it is a bargain at under €11. A must have.
Focus on one part of your face to embrace summer’s citrus trend. If yellow eyeliner scares you (understandably), then add a splash of sunshine to your nails with Chanel’s new colour, Mimosa (€21). An economical alternative is Sally Hansen’s Yellow Kitty from the new Complete Salon Manicure range (€8.95) – a current favourite in the WSW office.
One of the brightest and easiest ways to wear this season’s neon trend is coral lips. YSL’s Coral Sun (€31) is a great lippie which fits the bill perfectly.
The must-have bronzer of the season has to be Clarins Mosaïque Summer Bronzing Compact (€31). Perfect for sunny days, it has SPF 10 and is suitable for all skin types, even the driest skin.
Keep hair cool and frizz-free this festival season with a stylish ponytail. As seen at Gucci (pictured), this latest trend is versatile with a style to suit everyone. Smooth hair with some Moroccan Oil treatment (€38) before blow-drying with a round brush. When hair is secured with a grip, run a bit of Charles Worthington’s shine serum (€6) through it for a natural, sleek and glossy finish.
This summer’s look is low maintenance and naturally beautiful so all that’s left to do now is to go shine in some long-awaited sunshine!

The Catrice range of nail polishes are great and super value too. They retail for about €2.79 and come in a huge range of colours. And they are actually long lasting. I have about 10 of them. Great for a cheap and cheerful way to add colour.
