There’s no doubt about it, studs are everywhere this season and are set to be huge this season and next.
From Jeffrey Campbell boots (the fashion blogger favourite) , to collars, handbags and dresses, this embellishment adds a hard edge to an outfit and can turn something mundane into an on-trend piece.
Take the trench coat for example. Last year, Burberry reinvented it adding studs to the sleeves, causing a DIY frenzy amongst many fashionistas keen to get the look.
How to wear studs?
For those looking to update their outfits with their own studs, push the “cap” through a buttonhole of a blouse or a shirt and fix it with the bar behind the hole. One of the latest trends is wearing studs on shoes. A studded leather jacket (like the Zara one pictured), adds an edgy touch to this otherwise girly outfit of lace skirt and heels.
