Party People: Smirnoff Nightlife

Pictured at the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project Irish Send Off Event and Sister City announcement at The Clarendon bar in Dublin 2 are from left Triona McCarthy, Laura McCarthy, Ciara O’Connell and Heidi O’Sullivan.

Last Thursday, Smirnoff threw an invite-only party in the penthouse of The Clarendon bar in Dublin 2 to announce who Ireland will partner with for The Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project – a celebration of the best of global nightlife, when two very different cultures collide on 27th November 2010 at the Wright Venue, Swords.

Ireland will receive the best of Argentina’s nightlife culture as part of a one-of-a-kind global experience in which 14 countries pair up to exchange crates containing the best of their local nightlife. In turn, Argentina will receive the best of Ireland’s homegrown nightlife, as voted by the Irish public.

I really do wish I’d made a bit more of an effort to dress up – I wrongly presumed this was a casual event – turns out it was definitely high fashion. In fact as I recall the WhatSheWears contingent were looking very, very well 😉
