Shopping: What We’re Coveting

From the perfect birthday gift, a sparkly outfit for the Christmas season to the best faux fur on the hightstreet; here’s what we’ve got our hands on this week.

It’s officially party season and time to invest in a festive little frock to get you through the coming months. I’ve opted for a LBP (Little Black Playsuit) instead of an LBD this year in the form of this silk and sequins Reiss number.

The sequins mean I won’t need to go OTT on accessories and can pair it with an array of skyscrapers and clutches in varying colours so I feel like a new woman every time I put it on. Perfect!

I must admit it took me a while to embrace the faux fur trend (as an animal lover, it will only ever be faux for me) and I think there is a lot of horrendous looking fur garments on the high street right now. However on a recent trip to Topshop, this textured dark black number, €149, caught my eye.

It can be worn with or without the belt and the ‘fur’ is the softest I have ever felt! The minute I tried it on I felt very glamorous! It is a really classy colour and shape, and will see me through the party season while keeping me warm and cosy at the same time.

I’m all for birthday celebrations, but when it comes to my own, I never know what to ask for (when asked what I want, of course). So, without even the slightest hint, this Marc by Marc Jacobs Too Hot to Handle Tote was gifted to me by Mr M last week.

Perfect for work wear, I love the multi-functional shoulder strap, fine gold hardware and the soft touch of the cow leather. Possibly the best birthday present I’ve ever received! Thank you.
