There are many lovely things about autumn fashion— a chic coat, cosy knits, wrapping up in a scarf—but our favourite part has to be the footwear. The moment we get to switch our stilettos for sleek boots is always a milestone.
This year, that transition is even more exciting than usual, thanks to Rockport, which has just opened an 800 square foot concession at Cleary’s in Dublin.
The autumn collection is truly noteworthy and offers a selection of elegant knee-high boots, riding boots and heeled and flat boots galore.
Plus, each pair is designed by Adidas and comes with adiPRENE, a shock absorption technology in the heels of their shoes and boots. Contemporary stylish yet “comfy shoes” – a term that normally scares me silly, but the latter is the bit that won me over in the end. After only five minutes in them, I noted the extraordinary cushioning under my feet and three days later they’re now my ultimate go-to boot for this winter.
Even though I’d love them all, my top picks for this season’s collection are:
Anna Lace-up Boot (€150)
Lace-ups were all over the autum winter catwalks but these utility inspired boots, which comes in luggage (pictured) or dark brown are premium waterproof leather laceups that look better with each wear.
Audry Welt High Collar Boot (€200)
The Audry comes in black suede or burnished brown leather (pictured) and has a convertible collar, a wooden platform heel and a foam foot bed for maximum cushioning.
Addison Riding Boot (€180)
This is my personal favorite. Comfort factor a given, they are an impeccably stylish pair of leather boots that will see you walking in them for winters to come (and also come as ankle boots, pictured, if you’re not one for knee heights).
But whichever pair you choose, you’re certain to look fabulous and stay comfortable all season long.
Has anyone else tried them? Would love to hear what you think about them.

I was lucky enough to win a pair of the Audry boots above and while I haven’t had a chance to wear them yet I was shocked at home comfortable they were when I tried them on.
I’ve ruined by feet in the last few years wearing flats so I was terrified I wouldn’t be able to even try them!
Really nice selection of other styles in there too – great to see something comfortable and attractive instead of having to compromise.
