Last night, a day after the #arnottsshoegarden twitter party we hosted where some of you were the first to see Arnott’s AW12 shoes before anyone else, Alesha Dixon was in town to officially launch The Shoe Garden, in Arnotts, Ireland’s largest ladies shoe department.
New ladies shoe brands introduced to the store include Vivienne Westwood Anglomania, Sam Edelman, Stuart Weitzman, Pretty Ballerina, Nine West, Kurt Geiger, Carvela, Steve Madden, DKNY and Michael by Michael Kors. Other shoetastic brands stocked in the Shoe Garden include Nine West, Buffalo, Carl Scarpa, Pied A Terre, Dune, Cat Maconie and Bertie.
What She Ate: The cutest shoe shaped biscuits, baked by Clodagh McKenna
What She Drank: White wine, provided by new “IT” Bar, 37 Dawson Street
What We Learned: The secret to Alesha Dixon’s natural and flawless makeup is airbrushing. While getting our makeup done for the event in LA Creative, we bumped into Alesha’s makeup artist Kim Menzies (who also teaches at LA) and learned that she uses an airbrushing technique on Alesha – the perfect solution for avoiding the “caked”-makeup-look-in-front-of- the-camera apparently.
See who caught our eye at the event in the gallery below.
