There are days filled with collection previews, meetings and random encounters and yesterday was one of them.
Oasis held their Christmas preview in their Irish flagship store on St Stephen’s Green where the Oasis bus was parked up giving free makeovers and style advice to anyone who booked in (they are in Dundrum today and Patrick Street Cork tomorrow 9th October).
A stiff coffee and chat with PR manager Hayley later, I pawed my way through the Christmas rails to discover a statement yeti coat, pared down femininity in a dove grey pussy blow blouse, a gorgeous range of cocktail rings, a Mad Men midi skirt (€50) and a one shouldered sequin dress – it’s no wonder I look forward to the festive season!
I’ll do a full “collection we covet” on the site soon (the Bottega Veneta sophis-influence is just fabulous), but in the meantime, get a load of these.
I met the lovely Holly Shortall, TV3 Style Wars finalist.
David Greene, the Style Wars winner, was about too but a busy man dishing out style advice on the bus.
Xpose’s Lisa Cannon got cosy on the Oasis bus. Check out her dinky camel skirt – a great way of wearing this “so now” colour as it’s not so flattering against the face for most Irish women.
Ian Galvin, head honcho for Karen Millen, Warehouse, Oasis and Coast in Ireland (remember him as one of the judges on TV3’s Style Wars?) in his camel coat. Meanwhile Xpose presenter Lisa Cannon get’s her tresses tended to by Michael Galvin from Peter Mark.
RockinFashion Roisin Moloney getting her makeup done by L’Oreal. I fell in love with their Glamshine lipgloss (€10.59 reduced to €7.59) in 180 Sheer Cassis, the shade that Cheryl Cole wears ), which, post makeover, I promptly ran into Boots and bought (‘cos I’m worth it!).
Leaving Oasis, Ciara Norton and I bumped into this lot of biscuity bits. It was belling laughingly funny!
What She Wears
Here’s what I wore yesterday. In hindsight it was very “rose” influenced. I’m practically sleeping in my new shoulder-pad-city blazer since I bought it this week.
Navy blazer (Zara €79), Aviator sunglasses (Ray Ban at Dublin airport €125), skinny “JBrand Houlihan” style skinny combats ( H&M €40), beige studded handbag (Awear €25), black rose top (gifted from my sis), green rose petal ring (Accessorize €12), wedge boots (Penney’s €21) and I bought the rose on my lapel (€2) that morning in aid of Autism Ireland.

I bought the yeti coat in the brown colourway last week. I love it. Wore it out on Friday and was too hot in it, it’s really warm! I rarely look for cold weather but part of me wants a chill in the air so I can wear it again soon!
