Narciso Rodriguez rose to fame in 1996 as the designer behind Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s wedding dress. Soon after, this prompted him to launch his signature collection which is now known for intricate garment structuring.
Most recently, you will have seen his work on the most stylish First Lady of the moment, Michelle Obama. She wore a Narciso Rodriguez red and black shift dress on US election night.
Another big fan of Narciso Rodriguez is actress Rachel Weisz, who, last winter, wore a Rodriguez striped sheath dress to an independent film awards ceremony. Rachel wore the striped dress with black stilettos and a matching clutch.
Drew Barrymore wore the same dress but went for a slightly more relaxed style. Seen here, Drew teamed her Narciso Rodriguez satin striped sheath dress with contrasting red platform heels.
Apart from wearing the same dress, the other thing both actresses had in common was red, matte lipstick.
The Narciso Rodriguez satin striped sheath dress (what a mouthful!) is priced between €1200 and €1500 and will shortly be available via the Net-a-porter website.
Meanwhile, if you feel like stealing either Rachel Weisz or Drew Barrymore’s style – you will find this alternative at Karen Millen for €220. It is a graphic print, strapless, stretched satin dress with a lace trimmed hem.
