My Style: Interview in RSVP Magazine

Many thanks to Blathin de Paor for featuring me for RSVP’s Women of Style. You can read the interview here and below.

In the latest instalment of the series Social Media Manager and Founder of, Anne Marie Boyhan, talks life, career and style with RSVP’s Blathin de Paor

Your path into the industry…

My university studies in International Marketing and Languages led me to a stint in Madrid where I did a Masters in Digital Marketing and E-commerce. This landed me a job working on the Irish Times website. My love of all things fashion spurred me to set-up a site of my own hence was born in 2009 and I’ve been blogging about style and shopping ever since. I now combine it with working full time as a social media manager for a large company.

Your greatest achievement… winning Best Blog at the Most Influential in Irish Fashion Awards.

Your style…

I love a good dress in print or block colours worn with statement heels. Onjenu London is a fabulous dress label I wear a lot of recently. For work, I like a leather pencil skirt and a structured blazer or tweed jacket and love to accessorise with a statement piece such as a necklace, handbag, watch or heels.

Your style icons

I love Olivia Palermo’s ability to accessorise and I look to Instagram, Pinterest, magazines and blogs for style inspiration.

Your favourite piece…

A Joanne Hynes neckpiece.

Your skincare routine…

I’m pretty bad at cleansing and toning but do insist on a wearing SPF50 and a moisturiser with SPF (am currently using Olay Total Effects). I try to drink two litres of water a day and have booze free weeks- these are the ultimate workouts for my skin to look its best.

Your favourite products…

A red Chanel lipstick and Ken Boylan’s Makeup Play mascara are always in my handbag and Kiehls Midnight Recovery Oil on my bedside table. Clarins Instant Concealer is great for covering tired eyes and St Tropez Self Tan Express lasts for days and beats any spray tan I’ve ever had. For when I want to look more polished; a Shellac manicure from Mimi’s Beauty Room, a brow shape by Aisling Powell at Empower and a bouncy blow-dry at Brown Sugar.

Your ‘me’ time…

Catching up with friends or family over a coffee or a wine! I love to read so my downtime is spent reading blogs, magazines and the Saturday and Sunday papers.

Your hobbies…

Shopping, blogging and instagramming style for and believe it or not, watching rugby. My husband Ivan and I met watching a rugby match and we are off to the Rugby World Cup which takes place in the UK this October.

Your favourite restaurant

Sirrocco restaurant in Bangkok was pretty amazing-dubbed the world’s tallest rooftop restaurant, it’s on the 63rd floor of the Lebua hotel with amazing views of the city (they filmed a helicopter scene from The Hangover 2 there). Day to day in Dublin I am fuelled on good coffee and spend a lot of time in Dunne & Crezenzi.

Your favourite holiday destination

I lived in Madrid for five years and love going back to Spain on holidays for the guaranteed sunshine, a good ‘café con leche’ and to speak the lingo. The island of Gozo holds a special place in my heart as we got married there. In Ireland I love heading to Westport.

Your stress-busting tip…

A good jog on Sandymount promenade works wonders for clearing the head! I’ve recently had my first baby, Ruby, so this has evolved into a long walk or jog with her in the baby buggy.

Your style…

I live in a bijou apartment so keeping it clutter free is hard. I’m house hunting at the moment and my go-to apps for inspiration are Houzz and Pinterest. I lean towards contemporary interiors so clean lines, white and dark grey are favourites.

Your favourite piece…

My most loved piece is a Philippe Starck stool, which was a present from my sister.
