Mixing studded heels, a sequin clutch and a pretty blouse with this season’s mullet hemline sounds like a car crash but here it looks fun and fearless.

With all the fashion week madness now taking place in Milan, Chiara Ferragni seemed an obvious choice as this month’s muse.  Founder of, Chiara is one of those people who needs no introduction.

The Sienna Miller of the blog world, she shot from inauspicious beginnings as a fulltime law student and occasional fashion blogger to a beachy blonde style icon.

Casual clashed against glam and grungy leather set against girlie basics secured her place as the go-to girl for slick street style. Her look is LA-cool with a dash of her native excess thrown in for an original slant.

With over 90,000 visits per day, the sartorial stamp of approval from Vogue US, Vogue Italia and The New York Times, plus having walked in the Alberta Ferretti SS 11 fashion show and launched her own line of shoes all before her 25th birthday, it’s difficult to decide whether to hate her or love her. Whichever you choose, there’s no denying her style is effortless, fun and an inspiration.

These are four of our favourite recent looks from the fashionable entrepreneur.

I used to love her blog, but the bigger it’s got the more it seems like she just wears the free stuff she gets – and 99% of the time I find her style has got really boring. Yesterday she described herself as wearing “low cost brands” or something, and it seemed so funny; two years ago that’s all she wore, and she didn’t feel the need to differentiate them from all the expensive stuff she gets given!
