Today’s Fashion Week Q&A guest needs no introduction, but just in case you are a newcomer on the scene, Dubliner Merle O’Grady is a key designer to know.
Her accessories have an edge to them that have gotten her noticed – Cheryl Cole wore her spiked Bombshell styles on XFactor, while Kimberley Walsh is a fan of her statement necklaces.
While gearing up for her A/W preview in London, which was presented this past week—she made time to answer some insider’s questions exclusively for WhatSheWears.ie. WSW: How did you get into accessories design?
MOG: I studied Fashion Design (womenswear) at Limerick School of Art & design, then Accessory Design at Cordwainers at the London College of Fashion.
WSW: What’s in store from Merle O’Grady for autumn winter 2011?
MOG: Navajo patterns, vintage cars and Chris Von Wangenheim images from the seventies. Why don’t I show you?
