This year we waited until October to take a holiday and went to a five star kiddie friendly resort in the Algarve, which was one of our best holidays ever.
The best part about Martinhal is that it is so kid friendly, that they cater for all your needs supplying sterilising kits, buggies/pushchairs, highchairs and there’s a mini supermarket on site so there’s no need to pack all the baby gear I had mentioned in a previous post.
There are swimming pools, both indoor outdoor and a kids pool at the resort as well as playgrounds, a trampoline and sandpit, a beach volleyball pitych, the beach and the choice of three restaurants.
The beach at Martinhal Sagres speaks for itself! There’s also the option of watersports such as windsurfing. We chose instead to play on he beach sometimes taking shade in the local cafe on the beach where this photo was taken from.
Delighted to discover Voya, the Irish skincare brand made from seaweed, in the bathrooms at Martinhal.
Every restaurant at Martinhal has a supervised kiddies play area. They also have a creche on-site and babysitter services should you need it.
Accommodation is in beach chalets such as this one above where we stayed or self catering villas. Upon arrival each guest receives fruit and a bottle of wine and there’s a gift for the children too.
Holidaying with children now has a new standard and we are hoping to return next year if we can save up enough. It’s 5 star and pricey but money well spent.
