Ask the Stylist: Married Abroad

Dear Ask the Stylist

I’m getting married in August abroad. As it will be very warm there , have you any before and after wedding outfit ideas? I’m after something stylish and not too expensive. A.G.

Lucky you! Congratulations.

Our editor got married abroad which involved planning a week of outfits, never mind wondering how to get “the dress” there in one piece, so it’s no wonder you’ve got this question on your to-do list!

A few chic dresses will see you through the week in style.  Here are my suggestions for some before and after wedding outfits.

Pictured left to right:

1. Try this palm print halter dress (Warehouse €65). It can be worn with t-bar sandals in gold, cream or tan.

2. For a more colourful option, check out this pink French Connection dress. Team it with tan or navy sandals and gold accessories.  Jersey dresses are all over the high street so you won’t be stuck for similar options.

3. This shift dress (Warehouse €97.00) has a low back and embellished detailing and can be worn with heels or flats. Add some stacked bracelets to complete the look.

4. If retro is your thing then try this 50’s style dress (Kookai).  Add a pair of suede shoes in a bright shade for that pop of colour!

Finally, enjoy the wedding and the celebrations and style that go with it!
