London Fashion Week Day Two

February 21, 2010

Check out this video for the scoop from Day two of London Fashion Week autumn winter 10.

Alexa Chung was in the front row of Topshop’s Unique show alongside Olivia Palermo (who we know loves to shop in the UK). This is a gorgeous collection including lots of furry jacket and hats.

New designer on the block Michael van der Ham wowed us with his beautiful patchwork dresses, we met Lady Gaga’s hat maker and there’s a chat with designer Henry Holland who’ll be channelling the 90’s next season at House of Holland and created some Twitter inspired T-shirts.

Grazia style director Paula Reed talks us through her favourites for this autumn winter:
– For coats you’ll be wearing with a swinging A-line coat to the knee or a tailored military one. The latter were huge at New York Fashion Week and Paula’s favourite military coat is from Topshop.

– Sheepskin mixed with leather is also on Paula’s radar – so looks like we’ll be snug and cosy come November. Brix Smith Start (you know the American London based boutique owner who presented that show with Gok Wan?) is in buying mode and tells us what she thinks will be flying off the rails next season.

– Paula also raves about over the knee aran woolen socks, as seen at Alexander Wang at New York Fashion week.
