Behind the Scenes Footage of LFW

February 17, 2010

Behind the Scenes Footage of LFW brings you an Irish exclusive:  from 19-24 February 2010, we’ve teamed up with Grazia to bring you daily behind the scenes footage of London Fashion Week  A/W 10 by The Grazia team.

They are blow-dried and manicured to the max, up to speed on the chicest outerwear (freezing temperatures outside) and all in preparation for their bi-annual trip down the road to London Fashion Week. There’s even a rumour that they’ve cracked the formula for wearing peep-toe boots outside without getting frostbite!

Hurrah! Being kindly souls though, they’ll thoughtfully be blogging from, snapping at and filming any show worth its stilettos. A lot of the action will be introduced by Grazia’s own Style Director Paula Reed, who comes recommended by the Times – ‘very soignee’ and – ‘very dishy’.

Shows like Christopher Kane, Burberry, Ashish – the Grazia girls will be close enough up to see the false eyelashes on the models.

Other members of the team will also be making appearances to point out the most crucial fashion moments, charm the best quotes from the lips of the FROW celebs like Emma Watson, Alexa and Pixie then wriggle their way through the crush backstage to get the skinny from the designers. You’ll be able to see the sweat on their brows . . . how can you contain yourself?

Tune in every day and watch the videos – you’ll be so in the know about what to wear this autumn winter!

Day 1 of London Fashion Week.

Paul Costelloe was first up to showcase his autumn winter 2010 collection and we then moved over to David Koma zig zagged dresses (remember Cheryl Cole wearing his dress on X Factor?) where Kate Moss and Karine Rotfield (French Vogue editor) were in attendance. She came along specifically to see another man’s show – that of Hakaan, whose show everyone was buzzing about – he’s a newbie to LFW, a 37 year old Istanbul based designer, who won a major Turkish fashion competition.

There was an Alexander McQueen memorial wall at Somerset House filled with touching tributes and notes from his zillions of fans.

There’s footage of Felder Felder and Jean Pierre Braganza (Cheryl wore a pink bodycon dress of his on XFactor) and an interview with Hannah Marshall (the British design who wears only black!) after her show which was a pleasure (‘cos she’s soo sweet). The day finished off on a high note at the ever-fun Sass & Bide show.
