I first came across Lisa Lú hats in February, boarding a plane from Dublin to London for Fashion Week and I was taken aback by the most beautiful cloche hat sitting on stylist Lisa Byrne’s head. We got chatting and I kept gazing at her hat, asking “when are you going to start designing hats? Yours is amazing!” Little did I know it was a millinery project already in motion.
Lisa Lú is Lisa Byrne’s debut hat collection, which has been inspired by the iconic cloche hats of the Jazz Age. The handmade bespoke cloches capture the spirit of the Roaring Twenties and enlivens it with a modern twist, creating what Lisa describes as the “Modern Vintage” look.
Each one of Lisa’s creations is made from the highest quality materials available and is moulded and hand-stitched by Lisa in her studio in Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow. The next episode of Lisa’s Milliner’s Tale will feature men’s hats and is currently being created.
Her hats retail from €250 and fashion lovers will want to know that all Lisa’s creations are made to order. lisalufashion.com
