Recently I met Dutch designer Simone van Trojen (pictured above with her daughter) who was in Dublin to launch her latest collection from the highly covetable brand, LaDress. I had spotted the label before in BT2 (you may have seen me mention it on Instagram) and instantly loved it so was keen to find out how it came to be.
After studying law and going on to be a busy Mum, Simone spent a lifetime looking for that one dress that would fit all her different roles in life. That’s why she decided to make LaDress, a collection of dresses that look smart yet feel comfortable. Simone champions creating styles that work with everyday life. Much of Simone’s time is spent ensuring the quality and fit of the dresses are perfect with Simone herself trying each dress individually!
The label has now evolved into a collection of occasion wear which includes dresses, coats and jumpsuits, for women of all ages, shapes and sizes. Ranging in various styles and fabrics from cotton, crepe, denim, jersey, lace, leather, satin, silk, sequins and wool and designed to fit each body shape.
Available at BT2 Dundrum, Blanchardstown and Grafton Street as well as Brown Thomas Cork, Limerick and Galway and also online at www.ladress.com
Prices start from €149 – €750.
