Ask the Stylist: Kate Middleton Dress

Dear Ask the Stylist

Can you please help me! Where is this dress from or is it designer? Sorcha via Twitter.

Hi Sorcha,

The dress is by Roksanda Ilincic which Kate Middleton wore to the Royal Academy of Arts’ Creative Industries Reception in London last August. It’s a dress that she’s recycled so is definitely not in the shops any more. I’ve checked and unfortunately, there are no similar styles in the shops right now either.

If you really want to get your hands on it you could get it made at Dresses by Me. It’s an (Irish) website that allows you to design your own dress  – you get to choose the front and back neckline, the type of skirt, the length of skirt, the fabric, the colour, sleeves, no sleeves, belt, no belt, everything. Average price is €300.

See www.dressesbyme.com Email mary@dressesbyme.com or call 087-7057500.
