JW Anderson, a London-based fashion designer, from Magherafelt, Co Derry is making waves in the fashion world.
Since exploding onto the scene in September 2008 and more recently, his menswear collection closed London Fashion Week; JW Anderson has become one of the most celebrated talents to come out of Ireland.
The poster child for raw, young design on the international fashion scene, Anderson flies the flag of home-grown talent with his preppy awkward look for men and women.
Now he’s come up with a one off capsule collection which is stocked in Brown Thomas Dublin, as part of “Irish Designers CREATE” curated space of ten established and up-and-coming designers working across fashion, millinery, jewellery and textile design.
Others included in the installation include milliner Mark T Burke, the Alexander McQueen accessories trained Lorna Burton of Coralei and Sorcha O’Ratheligh, the knitwear designer who was named one of Selfridge’s Bright Young Things and is a go-to label for Lady Gaga.
If JW Anderson’s Brown Thomas prices are beyond your reach, then look out for his Topshop collaboration which hits stores end of September or check out his Aldo Rise shoe range for Aldo from earlier this year. Uh-mazing.Tweet
