Grace Moore is one of Ireland’s most promising young stylists. With a client list that already counts a-list Irish star Saoirse Ronan, her eye for style is in high demand. As this month’s Guest Editor, Grace imparts her vast shopping knowhow – from Clarendon Street to Australia. We caught up with her to ask what her favourite things are:
Autumn/Winter 2012 designer collection
I’d have to say Valentino Couture! I know it’s not wearable every day but I just loved every look and STILL can’t stop thinking about it! As for RTW, I loved Balmain , the detail on the jackets was just stunning.
Autumn winter 12 trend and how you’ll be wearing it
My favourite trend for autumn winter 12 would probably be Military. I’ve always loved Military jackets and am delighted that there is so much choice this season. I love mixing my khaki shirts with pretty girly dress, as well as my army camouflage jacket!
Favourite indigenous shop in Dublin
No brainer, it’s BOW in Powerscourt Shopping Centre. The mix of amazing Irish designers, vintage and other-worldly finds is amazing! The atmosphere is as lovely as the great women who work there. They’re so kind and supportive of me and it’s something I’ll never forget! Sometimes when I’m passing by I’ll just drop in for a chat, it’s like a cosy house more so than a retail shop and that’s what I love about it!
Shop (clothing or otherwise) in another country
Oh god there are so many! While travelling I’m always on the lookout for “cool” little shops. Sportsgirl in Australia is like a mix between Topshop and Urban Outfitters, I’ve found some really cool things there.
Go-to piece in your wardrobe
My silver, metallic coatigan (coat/cardigan) from H&M. I LOVE it and wear it a lot as it goes with pretty much everything and dresses up the simplest of outfits.
Shoes
I love my glitter creeper-type shoes from Topshop. I bought them a size too small because they hadn’t got my size but after many painful days walking around they are finally one of the comfiest shoes I own. My Miu Miu brogues are fab too and always get some attention because they have diamonds on the heels.
Handbag
I don’t know if it’s because I’m a stylist but I always have loads to carry around with me. I love all the studded bags everywhere at the moment, Zara have great ones. I got one recently from there with a gold chain handle which I loved because it reminded me of the Stella McCartney bags. I also love vintage bags and am lucky enough to have an amazing vintage box bag that was my grandmothers. I also love animal print bags – I have a real snake skin bag I got as a gift from Thailand. It freaked me out a little when I first got it and couldn’t use it for about a year because it was a little weird but now I love it!
Perfume
Stella McCartney “Stella” is my all time favourite scent, closely followed by Marc Jacobs “Daisy” his bottles are so beautiful.
Beauty Salon & Treatment you get there
I tend to do all my own beauty treatments but I always go to Toni & Guy on Clarendon Street to get my hair done. I have been going to the same hair dresser there, Stella, for 7 years and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair!
Best bargain buy
A cool khaki shirt, €6 in a charity shop! I’m always asked where I bought it, such a lucky find.
Biggest fashion splurge
A silver fox fur coat. It cost A LOT but I love it and can’t wait for winter to wear it. No doubt I’ll top it soon though!
Three words to describe your personal style
Funky, comfortable and ladylike.
Top style tip
Make sure you’re wearing the clothes and the clothes don’t wear you and always be confident in what you’re wearing.
Fashion pet hate
“See through” bra straps!
Most insane thing you’ve ever done for your love of fashion
The show “StyleWars” on Tv3. I was interested in the fashion experience however I didn’t realise what would come with it! It was a mad experience! But an experience all the same.

lol at the first commenti relaly love clutches, my only thing is in the city i’m from, i always grip my clutches way too hard out of paranoia. then they end up with the stress lines from me gripping them and then they start getting dents and looked ragged, etc and its just not a good look. maybe i wont clutch them so hard in the suburbs lol .
