Garance Doré for Marc O’Polo

Yesterday I had lunch with Marc O’Polo in Fade Street Social restaurant to hear about their summer and autumn collections and meet their marketing team who were over from Marc O’Polo HQ in Germany.

Marc O’Polo has been around since 1967 and was founded in Sweden but is now based outside Munich, Germany and has stores in Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland and the Nordics . Their clothes can be described as “premium casual“ and this year for menswear, they’ve signed up actor Jeff Bridges, to front a collection of knitwear, casual wear and leather accessories.

For women, for AW13, I was excited see their collaboration with Garance Doré (that’s Scott Schuman, The Sartorialist’s girlfriend,  who is a fashion blogger and illustrator in her own right).

The famous Frenchwoman has designed a capsule collection of high-quality t-shirts and sweaters with her illustrations and made of organically grown cotton, something she insisted on for the collaboration. They come in white, grey and burgundy and are definitely something I want to get my hands on given the current sway towards comfy sweatshirts. The T-shirts are €49.90 and the sweatshirts are €99.90.

You can check out Garance Doré for Marc O’Polo  in the gallery below.

The Garance Doré collection lands in August.
