Fashioncamp – 13th April

FashionCamp Ireland comes to Galway in association with Fashion Fiesta week at the Galway Technical Institute and organised by Social Bits. Fashion Fiesta is a week long event, incorporating fashion shows and exhibitions. It will held April 13th 2011.

FashionCamp Ireland is a Barcamp-style conference with workshops and presentations focused on current topics in fashion, technology, and creating innovative digital synergies.

Topics include fashion tech/wearables, marketing, social media, launching collections directly to consumers, public relations, manufacturing, fashion eCommerce and anything Fashion Web 2.0.

Who Participates

At FashionCamp, everyone is encouraged to share their knowledge. It is an event for anyone interested in Fashion or learning about the impact technology social media in particular is having on Fashion.

It is an event aimed at:

1) Fashion industry professionals
2) Independent & vintage fashion community
3) Irish Fashion Brands
4) Technology start-ups
5) Style bloggers + journalists
6) Image Stylists + Costume Designers
7) Fashion students

What Happens At FashionCamp?

At FashionCamp, discussions, demos and open participatory workshops are attended and run by the participants. Presentations will be given on any relevant topic on Fashion and tech. FashionCamp will work to bridge the gap between the fashion and technology, focusing on ways in which technology can take fashion forward into the new decade with new techniques, new materials, new business models, and new possibilities.
