December Must Haves

By AnnMarie Proudfoot

With Christmas fast approaching, let’s take a moment in between work parties, meetings friends and gift shopping to plan out our Christmas wardrobe. We are going to need a mix of both party and casual outfits to get us through this festive season.

For me, Christmas is about comfort, glam, and a little sparkle.  Although I am sure you will try to fit in some pre-Christmas shopping, how about enrolling Santa to do the rest? Let me get you started on a Christmas wish list…..think of it as a wish for each of the 12 days of Christmas.

Day 1. On the first day of Christmas, my true love said to me – A grey French Connection sequence dress  which can be worn with heels or alternatively for a more casual look with a pair of biker boots and thick tights.

Day 2. For your next gift on your list this Christmas, embrace your comfort side and opt for a grey platted jumper  jumper and gilet from Dunnes at €50 each. Team them up with these great knee high 3 strap boots from Shuh  and a fun pair of leggings from Vila-Leggings, all the way from our friends at ASOS.

Day 3. For your indulgent side this Christmas, how about this fab leather jacket from All Saints?

Day 4. And while we’re in the leather mood, Mango has a great pencil skirt for €109.

Day 5. For the surprise gift at Christmas (how do we subtley let them know about the surprise?), net-a-porter said to me, a Vivienne Westwood orb pendant (pictured).

Day 6. For those cold nights at Christmas, Fat Face has a really nice range of Pyjamas, hats and scarves which are all so cosy! The store in Dundrum is offering 3 for the price of 2 at the moment on pyjamas and gift boxes.

For your high collared coat this knitted collar scarf (day 7) will sit in nicely underneath – if not, you can always go for the Beckham-esque beanie (pictured), all from Fat Face.

Day 8. For that 2 in 1 comfort at Christmas, this softer than soft super fluffy snood from Topshop (seen above) is ideal to keep your neck and head warm.

Day 9. For those special nights at Christmas, fall in love with the Underwear from Myla in Kildare Village. Although still a little pricey, the range in the outlet is a fraction of the original price.

Day 10. For that curvaceous Christmas body, check out Gok Wan’s body shaper range available from Oxendales. His range of underwear, bras, and sexy corsets give you a great figure underneath your party dress.

Day 11. For that can’t live without them gift, let Santa throw in an extra treat with these zebra print lace up Pied-à-terre sandals Zebra print sandals.

Day 12. And finally for those overnight stays this Christmas, be sure to have a fun bag to travel with. Check out the range from Trippluggage. I love the Orla Kiely range which has 20% off, especially this suitcase pictured (€124)!

So you better be good this year! Merry Christmas (and accidentally send this link to the Santa buyer in your house).

  1. Japan Street Fashion Clothing Says:

A pair of sandals can be worn with whatever you like and you will find that a pair of casual thong sandals can come with a heel or they can be flat flip-flops. If you are looking for something for casual use, you could take a look at the variety of summer shoes that make up the Steve Madden shoe collection.
