Plaid, flannel, check and lumberjack – this print is named in many ways and this season’s laid back wear comes in the form of the check shirt (we settled for the check word) .
It’s been about from the 50’s through to The Dukes of Hazard, on to the 90’s grunge scene to reach even your brothers wardrobe.
If you want to get clad in plaid, we’ve found a high end plaid shirt for you from (left) Acne (€100). You can’t beat a bargain either which is why we picked up this shirt in Dunnes Stores at the weekend for a mere €10! Not only do they come in red/white/pink (pictured here worn by the blonde model right) but also in red /white/blue/ grey and in green /white/blue/ grey.
This is something that will never go out of fashion, so go ahead and buy it now!

Love this look. Cheryl Cole wore a grey plaid shirt on GMTV recently, it was fab. Think it was Elizabeth & James.
