Longines Irish Champions Weekend is a unique racing event that sees two of Ireland’s premier racecourses, Leopardstown and the Curragh join forces to stage the highest concentration of quality Flat racing in Ireland, with a total prize fund of €4.03 million across the weekend. This year, the Longines Prize for Elegance competition will run for the first time, and can be enjoyed by all racegoers with prizes worth over €25,000 to be won.

Other Info	Ireland’s largest premier retail center Dundrum Town Centre and the RDS have announced that Dundrum Town Centre will be the title sponsor of ‘Ladies Day’ at the 2015 Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show at the RDS in Dublin. Ladies Day at the Dublin Horse Show is one of the longest running and most prestigious ladies day outings, a staple in the social and fashion calendar. This year the Dundrum Town Centre Ladies Day will take place on Thursday, August 6th and will feature a number of categories including the Dundrum Town Centre Best Dressed Lady, HP Most Colorful Outfit, Great Lengths Most Creative Hat, Best Dressed Man and Longines Elegance is an Attitude. The winner of the Dundrum Town Centre Best Dressed Lady category will walk away with a prize package worth 10,000 euro. Don Nugent, Dundrum Town Centre Director said “We are celebrating ten years of business and wanted to mark the occasion in a fashionable way. It’s an iconic day in the fashion calendar and we are really looking forward to being part of it and to be associated with our near neighbours – the RDS”. Judges on the day will be model and blogger Pippa O Connor and fashion editor Bairbre Power. Other Info	Mind Yourself, a charity working to improve the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of the Irish community in London, will be hosting a fundraising event on 14th March 2014 in Ku Bar, Soho, 6-9.30pm. The event – ‘St. Pat’s Hats’ – will see Jane Taylor, go-to-milliner for the Royals, join luxury shoe designer Liam Fahy and textile designer Claire Anne O’Brien, to judge a hat designing competition in aid of the charity’s work. Compered by Absolute Radio’s Maggie Doyle, the judges will be tasked with choosing the winning design created by event attendees. 100% of all ticket sale proceeds will go directly to support the continued roll out of Mind Yourself’s mental health service in the city. According to 2011 census figures, the Irish represent the fourth largest ethnic minority group in London. Britain, long the popular destination for migrants along with America, now holds several generations of Irish people within its borders. Indeed, as this population ages and as ever more emigrants make the move in search of work or simply adventure, there are those who experience mental health problems. Unfortunately, many are often unable to – or unsure of how to – access to the services and support they need, when they need it. London's huge Irish community ensures that the capital's St Patrick's Day festivities will be a rousing affair.
