This year’s Hennessy Gold Cup, which took place on Saturday 9th February in Leopardstown Racecourse, welcomed a variety of special guests from the world of fashion, sport, music and the arts.
The Hennessy Best Dressed winner was Marissa Cheah from County Fermanagh (pictured above right) was announced in front of a huge crowd at the Hennessy Best Dressed marquee and was presented with a voucher for €7,000 to spend in Design Centre, as well as a bottle of Hennessy X.O. Magnificence. Marissa impressed judges, Irish handbag designer Pauric Sweeney, Ashling Kilduff from Design Centre and Caroline Sleiman from Moët Hennessy with her stunning hat, dress and fur all from Diamond Dolls Boutique in Banbridge. She completed the look with a show stopping hat from Heaven Boutique and matching accessories, which where all borrowed from her Mother.
A host of Hennessy’s customers and specially invited guests enjoyed the celebrations on the day in the private event hosted in the Pavilion at Leopardstown. Guests included Her Excellency, French Ambassador, Emmanuelle d’Achon and Maurice Hennessy, Ambassadeur de la Maison Hennessy, along with Off the Rails presenter Sonya Lennon and Lisa Fitzpatrick. Lorraine Keane and radio presenters Dave Fanning and Baz Ashmawy were also there alongside Tamso Doyle from Horse Racing Ireland and Gillian Walsh, the wife of Ireland’s champion jockeys Ruby Walsh.
