Accessory Alert: Beatriz Palacios

Accessories are so crucial to an outfit and they can make or break it. Clichés aside, the penchant for statement accessories has reached fever pitch in recent seasons! Filtering down from the runways at Lanvin and Dolce & Gabbana, to the high street in embellished collars and chains, oversized earrings and layered bracelets; it’s a look that’s set to continue.

For the reader looking for something a tad more refined, we give you Beatriz Palacios’ range of uniquely hand-crafted jewellery.

Specialising in torc-style collars and layered chains, touches of semi-precious elements mixed with articulated gold ensures Beatriz’s designs are decadent and feminine, while still being fashion-forward.

A constant point of reference to all designers, Beatriz’s creations are vintage-inspired for the most part, taking their cue from Art Deco 1920s to the Casablanca-infused 1940s; using materials such as agate, jade and onyx to up the luxury factor. Grouping her entire Autumn Winter collection (seen above) into four separate categories – Casablanca, Mayhem, Metropolis and Slims – Beatriz explores various design elements in one single collection.

Of Spanish heritage but flourishing on the Irish market since 2006, Beatriz’s designs have been – up until this point at least – one of Ireland’s best kept secrets! Stocked in The Powerscourt Centre’s Loft Market, we await Beatriz Palacios’ SS13 collection with impatience.
