Shopwatch: Awear

As the summer collections have just dropped in the shops, it’s great to see some colour amongst them. The nude trend isn’t for everyone after all and colour brings with it a sense of summer and a cheer-me-up association that no natural hue can do.

This was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw AWear’s high summer collection. Eclectic Paradise is Awear’s bright and bold summer collection has dresses which could be mistaken for some designer’s “cruise collections” (holiday collection to the rest of us) and bold jumpsuits for the more daring females amongst us.

Besides their Eclectic Paradise range, the rest of their spring summer 2010 collection has some nudes, skirts and has waistcoats and shorts fit for any fashionable festival goer.

Awear has come a long way for an Irish store having opened practically nationwide and now has 5 stores in the UK and with it, appearances in Grazia’s Top 10 and name checks by Gok Wan and Pixie Lott.

Nearly 50% of sales are now from their website and they’re soon to be on Asos, giving this brand access to a huge audience much greater than just Ireland and the UK.

Big on trends and inexpensive, I often hear of girls “just popping in to Awear” on late night shopping Thursdays to buy a top or dress for going out for the weekend.

With that in mind, have a look at what’s in store through the gallery below. Prices can be seen by hovering over each image. Images courtesy of Awear.
