Last week I braced the wind of storm Howard to get to Arnotts to see their lingerie and swimwear collection for 2016 and the trip was well worth it. The coffee was hot and the collections even hotter where at the end of the show we all received a bra fitting from Arnotts team of expert bra fitters, where I found a bra and brief for my shape (and in a size smaller than I thought I was!).

Romanticism is a key feature on the S/S 16 summer catwalks and has been embraced by many of the lingerie houses for the season ahead. Collections are driven by a sense of femininity and nostalgia, with a focus on the art of luxurious craftsmanship and attention to detail. Collections draw influences from past history, whilst projecting into the future with a modern approach. This trend features heavily in collections from Wacoal, La Maison Lejaby & Heidi Klum.

Neutral tones are set to be a key colour direction across many of the collections, from crisp white to whisper pale tones of dove grey and pink, an invigorating freshness prevails across the summer collections at Arnotts. Lightweight natural materials in soft sandy and neutral shades are key for a look that is pure and premium looking.

Stronger more vibrant sunset hues are strong features this season at Arnotts. Reds, pinks, oranges and soft shades of yellow are used in many of the lingerie collections for a rich sumptuous look. These feminine shades lend a sophisticated feel. Coral is the key colour within this palette for SS16.

Seafolly, an Australian brand I love, is stocked at Arnotts, the face of which is model du jour Gigi Hadid. Riviera is a key trend in Seafolly this season,  and other lingerie brands such as Lauren by Ralph Lauren, Huit and Panache where nautical stripes, polka dots and a retro parasol print prevail. The colour palette is the traditional red white and blue.  Tropical Floral prints and bright hues of purple and pink sit together perfectly to transport you to Bali, which is a trend is key for Seafolly, Gottex, Anita, Cleo by Panache and Huit.

Arnotts also welcomed Bain De Nuit this season, a French brand who specialise in luxurious Kaftans. Check out this floaty number which would wow on the beach as well as at the bar.
