Street style blogs and Style Hunter type photos in the Glossies never cease to amaze me at how everyone’s take on fashion is so individual and personal. And what better way to style stalk than to people watch the attendees at events – which is exactly what I did at the Arnotts AW collection preview on September 14.
Corrina Cunnane
Corrina seems ahead of the possee and she’s already sporting the knitwear trend that’s about to trend as soon as the weather dips. Her woolly scarf makes her look cozy while making her outfit far from bland. The red tights and army boots show off her individuality, which, by the looks of things is far from mainstream fashion. Go Corrina! For ideas on different ways to wear a scarf, read our tips here.
Alannah McGuirk
Miriam O’Callaghan’s attractive eldest daughter has a relaxed style in a T-shirt, jeans and waistcoat combo. Her studded ankle booties have replaced the peep toes of summer and will see Alannah well into 2011.
Lyndsay MacSweeney
I simply love the fact that flaming red hair – both naturally and “helped along” (as in Florence and the Machine) – is having its hay day .
And there’s nothing as beautiful as seeing it teamed, or not teamed in this case, with a no-tan. Nicola Robert’s eat your heart out – this lady looks like a model in comparison.
What She Ate: Delicious, all-you-can-eat canapés
What She Drank: Mojitos and Cosmopolitans were on free flow, courtesy of The Church
What She Wore: The front row (FROW) was an eclectic mix of current trends and sharp tailored looks from presenters Sonya Lennon and Aisling O’Loughlin to stylists Aisling Farininella and Courtney Smyth to designer Peter O’Brien. An impressive turnout for a Tuesday night when the kids have just returned to school.
