Aoife Cogan’s Wedding Dress

Top Irish model and 2005’s Miss Ireland Aoife Cogan married her beau, rugby star Gordon D’Arcy at the weekend in Castle Leslie in Co. Monaghan.

The bride went for a backless white and gold Amanda Wakely dress and headpiece with a sweeping train  – it’s quite a Grecian look that was given a boho touch by adding the Indian style headpiece in the style of Nicole Richie.

Unlike many brides who opt for sky high heels, at  just under 6ft in height, Aoife doesn’t need to so, instead opted for gold Grecian style flats, a considerate choice so as not to tower over her husband.

The Amanda Wakely bridal collection is quite Grecian with most of it’s dresses, which we think are ideally suited to tall, model-esque girls who can pull off that etheral look.   We love how the lookbook is fittingly accessorised with double gold cuffs .

Aoife Cogan’s dress is Look 04/10 from the Amanda Wakely Rahjastan line, a silk georgette halterneck wedding dress with Cleopatra beading detail.

Gordon D’Darcy wore a  midnight blue Tom Ford suit with a black lapel and bowtie – a refreshing look to the grey morning suits which can wash out some guys.

Aoife’s hair and makeup were done by Brown Sugar.

We love Aoife’s wedding dress and overall ensemble. Do you?
