We’re all about the hat revival here at WhatSheWears.ie.
Last spotted on K-Middy circa 2010, the fascinator’s died a fierce death and has been firmly replaced with bigger, more statement headpieces at races and weddings alike.
Which is why we’re so excited about this week’s competition which gives one reader the chance to stand out in this pink and black hat designed by Aisling Ahern.
This young, edgy milliner has a background in architecture and has worked with fashion designer Daryl Kerrigan in New York. Her style combines a structural foundation with clean lines and bold, exotic colours to add some extra drama, resulting in striking pieces of art as headwear.
Aisling currently stocks a ready-to-wear collection in Dublin’s new and ultra cool Atelier 27 (27 Drury Street, Dublin 2) which is home to the collections of some of the most talented young Irish designers around.
Atelier 27 will be hosting an open evening with the designers in store on Thursday 8th September with prosecco and canapés when everyone is invited to meet the faces behind the new A/W collections.
This headpiece has been designed exclusively for the Dublin Fashion Festival and the lucky WhatSheWears.ie winner is invited to Atelier 27 on festival launch night (8th September) to meet with Aisling and pick up their prize!
