Acne “Pistols” are an A-list must-have for style influencers like Clemence Poesy, Keira Knightley and Rachel Weisz (all pictured above). Introduced by the Swedish label in 2009, these ankle boots are now a cult classic amongst celebs and trendsetters alike. The Irish are in love with them too – Angela Scanlon was spotted wearing them out and about in London is just one case in point.
The leather ankle boot has an almond-shaped toe and features a side zip in a gunmetal colour, a signature tassle and a Cuban heel. It’s so popular that stockists Net-aporter.com (£356) and My-wardrobe (£360) are constantly having to double their stock, with some sizes having waiting lists due to selling out so quickly. In fact, My-Wardrobe said last week that Acne Pistols are the ‘fastest selling ankle boots of all time’ !

Fluffandfripperies and Rosemary MacCabe tipped us off about a great Acne Pistol lookalike boot available at Buffalo Shoes (€165), which we were quick to snap up for ourselves. The SixtySeven “Bullet” boots are made of Spanish leather come in black and just like Acne Pistols, come in other colourways too – brown, green and taupe and for aw 12 the will be also available with a leopard print and ponyskin detail.
Proving that a good comfortable ankle boot will always be in demand, will you be getting yourself a pair?

Are these comfy, did you try them on? They look like they have a nice friendly heel on them (not to high but a little lift all the same!).

@Emma – the best tip off I’ve received in a long time. I live in those boots now!

Hey @Aoifs I bought them a few weeks back and they are really comfy. I actually went down a size as the girls in Buffalo told me that the leather stretches. They’ve a bit of height in them with a mid heel which I find helps (me as a shortie). can’t recommend ’em highly enough

And if you wanna be cheap like myself I bought in New Look and they are identical except for the tassel. Penneys will be bringing a pair out for A/W too!
