For the American college style fans amongst you, the wait is over. On November 1st, at 11:00 AM, Abercrombie & Fitch will open its Dublin Flagship store, located at 34 College Green.
In keeping with tradition, the hottest Abercrombie & Fitch Guys, carefully selected from A&F stores in the US, Italy, the UK, France, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Japan, Belgium, Singapore, and Hong Kong were flown into Dublin for the opening events. True to their word, they landed this morning to freezing cold weather – showing six packs, under red jackets, flip flops and blue jeans.
There were also a few A&F female models in tow, pictured above.
Teenage schoolgirls who happened to be nearby, fundraising for Temple Street were in their element as they queued up to get pictures with the boys (as was WhatSheWears who joined in the fun ). We caught up with the excited girls to ask them about Abercrombie & Fitch. “Up until now, I would’ve saved to a hoodie or tracksuit bottom online – usually as a birthday or Christmas present” one girl revealed. “usually my Mom would ask anyone they knew travelling to the States to bring back a hoodie or something from A&F which I’d get as a birthday present”. Their favourite pieces? “The trackie bottoms, definitely! They’re so comfortable and soft. They even smell good”.
The preppy lifestyle brand with the moose motif is popular with teens and twentysomethings and good for button down fitted shirts, khakis, scarves, hoodies with the A&F emblem and denim.
Abercrombie & Fitch is known around the world for its iconic, provocative image of the perfectly toned and defined All-American Guy. In fact it’s hit the headlines on more than one occasion for its staff hiring policy which is based on good looks and toned bodies.
